Let's Play in the Snow!

We wanted to get the kids out in the snow and since we've had a relatively warm winter, we headed to Snoqualmie Pass... twice! The first time we headed up expecting to get there early enough to get the first slot for sledding. To our surprise, we ended up hitting a road closure due to 2 spun out cars so we sat in the truck for over 2 hrs (on top of the hour and a half drive we had already done).. and we were only 3 exits from the pass! It was quite the experience in the back of the truck trying to keep two busy toddlers busy. We finally made it to the pass and headed to get our sledding tickets and guess what? SOLD OUT! So instead of sledding we hung out for a bit and played in the snow. Both kids were pretty confused by it and had only seen snow once before this when they were 5 months old so it was cool to see their reactions.

The following weekend we decided to test our fate again; this time purchasing tickets online and leaving earlier in case we hit traffic. We flew to the pass no traffic in sight which was a pleasant surprise after the previous weekend. Once we got there we started getting the kids ready in the truck which is such a pain with all the layers! Once i was almost done getting them dressed, I remembered something that I had forgotten to grab.... their JACKETS! This cannot be happening. Despite my huge mess up, Michael was determined to make sledding work this time so we ended up getting the kids new jackets... at the ski store... for several hundred dollars each! UGH
Feeling like a huge failure, we headed towards the area to sled and the day was a success.. and the kids ended up with a few nice jackets. So glad my lovely husband was patient while I showed the worst instance yet of 'mommy brain'.

Umm, mom you forgot our jackets...

Cheeeeeeseeeee

The best part about the Snoqualmie Pass Tube Park is that they have a pulley that you can sit in all the way up to the top!

Hunter was EXHAUSTED! He literally could not keep his eyes open..

As soon as we got in the car, Hailey was out!

Hunter, the one who was so tired falling asleep in the tube, was wide awake for a little while but then passed out too.
