We were able on Friday to get our cribs all put together for both babies which is very exciting. It really makes things feel real (As if the constant jabs of baby arms and legs wasn't enough)! I really enjoyed putting on crib sheets and getting any little detail I could ready in each nursery and showed off to Michael how cute it all was! I definitely appreciate him taking time outside of his garage and yard to do that for me!
Saturday was another amazing day. We met with my dad and brother to go baby shopping at Babies R Us! My dad had told me he was going to get one of the car seats for the babies and my brother said he wanted to get the other. Well they ended up spoiling all four of us with a ton of stuff off of our registry including 2 additional bases for the car seats (which will allow us to just clip in the babies to either of our cars- YAY), my fancy 'mommy' chair that rocks with a foot pedestal that glides along the chair, crib sheets, night lights, breathable crib bumpers, laundry baskets, blankets... among many other items we really needed. We cannot say THANK YOU enough for how much my dad and brother did as well as the rest of our family! It really is comforting to know we have so many people supporting us and the babies. They aren't even here and they are already spoiled!!
After shopping we went out for dinner with my family and my sister even joined. It was really nice being all together. With different schedules it doesn't happen often so we had to take a photo for proof!
I definitely must have over exhausted myself on Saturday because when I got home my stomach started to bother me and I got super tired... maybe tired isn't the word. EXHAUSTED. So, I laid on the couch for a bit and finally looked at Michael and told him I just wasn't feeling good and that my stomach was doing flips! He was so sweet and drew a bath for me. I climbed in for what was probably no more than 5 minutes and said- I need to just get into bed. Well, I laid down and next thing I knew I was motioning Michael over with a trash can for me to throw up in. I thought I was over this flu?! Turns out I felt a TON better after everything was out of my stomach and fell asleep the rest of the night. Michael of course was up (worried as he gets) unpacking boxes. The next morning I felt like a new person and of course he was saying how shocked he was on how I slept through all the noise he was making. I just was glad to feel better when I woke up. I don't think I could handle another day of that nasty flu that I had.
Sunday was another jam-packed day but this time, I knew better to make sure and take a break. Michael's mom and dad came by and the guys put up more shelving in the garage. Debbie and Ron wanted to give us a housewarming gift of our very own dinning room table so us girls headed out to see what we could find. It only took one stop to find exactly what Michael and I had in mind. We are so VERY grateful for this housewarming gift that we will have so many happy memories around with our family (and not to mention not have to eat at the coffee table anymore)! :)
After our shopping adventure, I put my feet up at home before Alicia & Chris came over with their girls to celebrate Michael's 32nd birthday! We had a really yummy taco bar and of course cake and ice cream. It was a fun way to celebrate my hubby and to visit with family! The girls were so silly and full of energy! Hats off to Alicia and Chris for keeping up with these two AND Natalie. It is really a full time job and a great reminder of things to come with twins.
Happy Birthday hunny!!

Present Time!
Monday (Michael's actual bday) we took the day to relax. It took some convincing to get him to not do anything around the house that day, but I could see how tired he was so I insisted. He even took a nice long nap on the couch. You know it's been a busy weekend when the dogs are just as lazy as we are.
