24 Weeks Pregnant- Can We Stop the Heartburn Now??

Over the past week, the heartburn has started.... and not stopped. It's not fun when you are trying to lay down and go to bed and your throat is burning, but I suppose there are worse things. Other than that, the only other new 'happening' that I've experienced over the past week is how hard it is to turn over on my other side at night. It really takes a lot of effort! I feel like I need a handle or something to help me... doesn't help that Lily and Paco are both sprawled out pinning me to one spot. :)

What's Happening With the Babies?: Our babies have gained about 4 ounces since last week putting them each around 1 1/3 lb. They are almost each a foot long and have pretty lean figures, but their bodies are filling out proportionally and they'll soon start to plump up! Their brains are growing quickly now and their taste buds are continuing to develop. Their lungs are developing branches  as well as cells that produce surfactant, a substance that will help their air sacs inflate once they hit the outside world. Their skin is still thin and translucent, but soon that'll start to change.

Our Babies Are Each the Size of: An Ear of Corn!
