Last week we headed to Lundeen and checked out the creek to see if we could find any ducks or toads!
We didn't find anything so we headed out to the dock- sure enough.. DUCKS!
The kids also saw a ton of people swimming.. so the next day we headed out, this time with swim gear on! Hailey was a little fish.. she LOVED being in the water and was floating on her belly (with water wings on of course), but she was definitely not afraid to get her face in the water!
Hunter on the other hand would not put his toes anywhere close to the rocky ground. He liked playing with the "sand" but didn't like it on his toes!
We enjoyed the water so much, we decided to have a family date night on Friday and headed to the splash pad at Willis Tucker! It was awesome- the kids really enjoyed it and it was perfect for their age.
The best part was when the water turned off and they were trying to get it to start back up again. They'd both say PLEASSSEEEE!!! and then as soon as their faces were there, the water would turn on! haha
Time to dry up in the gorgeous sunshine before heading to the car!
This summer we've also turned out backyard into a toddler water park almost every night! It's a fun way to keep cool!
(and us adults also are enjoying it a little)...
