Our First Labor & Delivery Class

We had our first of 3 Labor & Delivery classes at Evergreen Women's Center on Monday. The class was full of all women who are expecting twins (there were no triplet mothers in our class) so it was a relief to see how many others are out there expecting and experiencing the same things we are. The class was 3 hrs long and we got to hear what each couple was expecting (boys/girls) and what their fears/concerns were.

We watched a few birth videos (they weren't too graphic like the ones I've seen online- I suppose to not freak out the dads in the room)! Overall the information was good , but what I got out of it the most was feeling like I was not alone with the comments you receive from others, the changes in my body and the questions on the birthing process.

The best part was that the dads had to all massage their wives/girlfriends for a good 10 minutes at the end of the class and the women got to rate how they did. Michael got a big 10 out of 10- no surprise there. He knew to rub my neck and the pressure to do it. This will come in handy when I go into labor I'm sure.
