Turns out this 'morning' sickness thing is labelled completely incorrect! They should call it like it is... ALL day 'OMG, is that going to come back up in the middle of my work meeting??' sickness.
Regardless, the constant nauseousness is a good sign that the baby is doing what it should and a great reminder of what sometimes doesn't feel quite real yet. Not much has changed since last week except that I can't seem to stay up past 7pm! Up until then I'm my normal self, but it's as if at the snap of a finger I'm out! Michael just laughs and calls me an old woman... well if he had what is going on inside of him what I have going on inside of me, pretty sure he'd be out just as early.
I'm so incredibly grateful for my husband who has taken care of me so well the past few weeks. He has really stepped up to the plate with everything around the house and even running out for my random cravings at the drop of a dime!
On top of all the excitement with the baby, our condo is also on the market! We had decided to do this prior to finding out our big news and it just so happened to be perfect timing. The only hard part is keeping everything spotless. The last thing I want to do when I get off work is come home and clean, but Michael has really been great about keeping what I call our 'museum' in tip top shape for showings! Now, if we can just get this place sold, we can start looking for a new house with a big yard for the dogs and the baby to run around in!
My Cravings: Frozen Yogurt & baked potatoes (at all times of the day)
What's Happening in My Body: The big news this week: Hands and feet are emerging from developing arms and legs — although they look more like paddles at this point than the tiny, pudgy extremities you're daydreaming about holding and tickling. Technically, your baby is still considered an embryo and has something of a small tail, which is an extension of her tailbone. The tail will disappear within a few weeks, but that's the only thing getting smaller. Your baby has doubled in size since last week and now measures half an inch long.
Our Baby is the Size of: A Blueberry
