This has definitely been the hardest thing to keep a secret (for now) from family and friends! We decided that we want to wait until we are 13 weeks to share the good news for obvious reasons. In fact, by the time you read this blog we will be that far along at least.
At this point it is getting hard to ignore/hide the signs of morning sickness. So far I've been able to keep everything down, and THAT, I am thankful for. Between being ravenously hungry to extremely fatigued, this pregnancy thing is really everything everyone has ever told me. I definitely see changes in my body already. Although they aren't big changes (yet), it is hard to ignore the little pooch that is starting to develop... not sure if this is really the baby, the french fries or just bloating! Either way, my pants are not fitting the same!
My Cravings: ANY carbohydrates, especially those bad for me including french fries and pizza!
What is happening in my tummy: This week's major developments: The nose, mouth, and ears. Emerging ears are marked by small depressions on the sides of the head, and his arms and legs by protruding buds. His heart is beating about 100 to 160 times a minute — almost twice as fast as yours — and blood is beginning to course through his body. His intestines are developing, and the bud of tissue that will give rise to his lungs has appeared. His pituitary gland is forming, as are the rest of his brain, muscles, and bones.
Our baby is the size of: A lentil
