What Are We Doing Next?

This picture pretty much sums up the difference between Hailey and Hunter's personalities... Hailey will totally hang out (for a little bit) in her seat, but Hunter has to be moving at ALL times! There is definitely a difference between boys and girls and we've only hit the tip of the iceberg... Don't get me wrong, Hailey holds her own and is also very vocal and engaged, but when it comes to moving, Hunter is all over the place! I'm afraid for these future crawlers!

Deception Pass and La Conner

We weren't sure what to do on Sunday.. sure there was laundry to fold, dishes to be done, but we only get 2 full days with our babies and then it is back to the weekly grind. We really try to fill up our weekends with fun things to do with the kids so we headed to Deception Pass and did a little hiking and beach walking.

After our bottles and a nap, we had a nice lunch in La Conner and walked around the cute little town and checked out a few shops. Daddy was happy because we found an olive tasting bar that had some really yummy blue cheese stuffed olives... and mommy found some habenaro stuffed olives! YUM!

We went to a place called Oysters and a Thistle which we did not expect to be as expensive and nice as it was... oh well we were hungry and the place was empty (which was a good thing). Hunter decided to take a #2 and grunt the entire time while I tried to keep Hailey on her chair because they only had 1 highchair. Finally Daddy went down the stairs (oh, I forgot to mention, the restaurant ended up being on the second level- via stairs) and got one of the strollers for Hailey to sit in while we ate. Thank you hunny for having that idea.. it saved our daughter from grabbing at steaming hot french onion soup (YUM) that was severed a few moments later. Meals out are always more exciting when we take these two!

Saturday Shenanigans

We headed to the zoo for a fun afternoon in the sun! The lions were out and so were the hippos! The last few times we've gone they have not been in a good area to see. Mommy even got to feed the penguins!

After the zoo we headed for a fun lunch in downtown Seattle and walked around a few stores.

The kids were so funny interacting with one another in their highchairs! Hunter would reach over and pull Hailey's hand and giggle then she would turn around and do the same thing back to Hunter! It was pretty entertaining..

Family Date Night

We did our family date night a little early this week and decided to get some Mexican Food! Mommy and Daddy both didn't get lunches, so we headed to 'Nachos' after we got the babies from daycare. The kids sat in their highchairs for a bit, but were too excited and wanted out to explore the booth. I took Hunter out first and he was grabbing everything he could get his hands on, climbing on the table and would fuss because we weren't sharing our food! It was quite amusing! Hailey did well in her highchair but eventually wanted out too because her brother was out. We headed home with full bellies and 2 sleepy babies!

Working Hard!

Mommy got to go to an install for an X-Ray in downtown Seattle this week for work! It was such a great experience to see that what my team does has a direct impact on what happens in the field and how we have a big hand in saving people's lives! And a little bit of fun was had as well..
