Sno-moms Announcement for Hunter and Hailey!

Sno-moms is a local group for parents of multiples like us. They do various events, have a chat forum for when you have questions, play dates and monthly meetings where they invite guest speakers. This group has been amazing to be a part of already. They not only had preemie size clothes for both Hunter and Hailey to borrow when they were born (they were swimming in their newborn size at the time), but they have also reached out several times to me over the phone to see if I have questions or concerns and just to chat. It's really nice to have a lifeline like this where you can be as much a part of (or not) as you'd like.
On their website they finally announced the birth of Hunter and Hailey- how neat! I'm one proud mamma!

Corn Maze

The four of us ventured into the corn maze at the pumpkin patch that was shaped for the 12th man! We would've gotten lost if it wasn't for Michael keeping a close eye of where we were in the maze. Looking forward to more fall festivities in the coming weeks!

Stocker Farms

What a great day to go to the pumpkin patch by our house! We were able to meet up with Grandma, Alicia, Chris and the girls! They really set up the farm with a ton of activities for kids. We had such a blast running around with our nieces!

We even got to see a pumpkin launch! How awesome!

It's Fall!

What a perfect time of year. The weather isn't horrible, the leaves change color, pumpkin spice is in the air and there are so many fun activities especially for kids! Here we are in our pumpkin gear getting ready for a fun-filled day!

Mommy with double trouble!

T-Shirt Time!

Michael always wears his white T-Shirts around the house, so it's only natural that Hunter would follow suit! I love my boys!!

Paco the New Babysitter

Walking into the bedroom after getting ready for bed, I saw Paco had taken over watching the babies. Thanks Paco!

Papa's Retirement Party

I was really happy that my dad's friends threw him a retirement party and we were able to go. Of course right when we pulled up, Hailey threw up all over herself and her car seat! Luckily we had a change of clothes for her in the truck! We were able to stay for a few hours and eat some good BBQ, hang with my dad, brother and uncle Dave and enjoy some time out of the house!

Hunter loved sitting with Uncle Dave:

Back In the Kitchen!

I really enjoy cooking and before we were pregnant with the babies, we were eating a 'clean' diet. Both Michael and I really enjoyed the food and the extra energy it gave us. Well, I was able to get myself into the kitchen and make some yummy & healthy food that's easy to get while taking care of fussy babies. I made some protein bites, homemade chili and chocolate protein bars for breakfast. Excited to get back on track to lose some of this baby weight and to get in the kitchen and enjoy making delicious food!

Nakie Time?!

That's right! Hunter had some nakie time to help clear up a little diaper rash. I couldn't help myself but to take a photo of his cute bum! :)

Doctor Appointment

The babies went in for their 4 week checkup! They each got checked by our pediatrician from head to toe and had to get a shot! They did so well, but it was mommy who was traumatized to see the needle go into their leg! Not looking forward to their 2 month appointment where they each get a few boosters. Hunter didn't like his ears being looked at and Hailey wasn't too fond of the stethoscope, but we made it out alive! Both babies are doing GREAT and are growing on a healthy curve.

Hunter and Hailey Are a Month Old!!

It's amazing how time really flies! Hunter and Hailey are already one month old and are growing like weeds! Both babies currently sleep with us in bed at night. They both love to fall asleep on our chests and then we roll them over so they are in the middle of us. We enjoy being able to be close to them for middle of the night feeds.

Hailey
Weight: 8 pounds 7.5 ounces
Length: 20.5 inches
Favorite things: Being held in the ergo, the baby swing and being sang to.
Personality: Hailey really loves to be held and will let you know the moment you set her down that it is not OK. She wakes up about every 3 hours at night to be fed and is very hard to burp. She makes adorable coo noises and high squeaks when she is dreaming or in her 'milk drunk' state. And if you're going to change this little girl's diaper, WATCH OUT! She likes to pee when she doesn't have a diaper on!

Hunter
Weight: 7 pounds 13.5 ounces
Length: 19.5 inches
Favorite things: His sister's pink binkie, his frog binkie, laying on daddy's chest and music/dance time!
Personality: Hunter is more independent than Hailey is and doesn't mind sleeping in the crib or his cradle. Mommy is the one with the issue of him not being with the family in bed since his sister doesn't like the crib as much. He wakes up about every 2.5 hours at night to be fed and is easy to burp. He laughs often and will make BIG smiles when he sleeps.

These two babies also LOVE each other. They will hold hands and even wake up at the same time during a nap and make noises to one another (maybe a twin language is starting to develop).

A Trip to Visit Aunt Alicia and Uncle Chris

We had so much fun over at Aunt Alicia and Uncle Chris' house! We really wanted to get out of the house and this was the perfect reason. Since I didn't have a baby in my hands, I went out and jumped on the trampoline with Lexie and Kenzie! It was a ton of fun.. but I forgot how good of a workout it really is!

"Sleep Like a Baby"

Whoever came up with this saying must have never had kids. Last night Hunter decided to keep mommy up until almost 2 AM! Thankfully daddy woke up and took the second shift until 5 AM and then started work. Hunter still didn't want to sleep, so we were off on a morning car ride again! I thought for sure they'd both knock out, but I thought wrong. After an hour and a half, I still had wide awake babies looking at me in my rear-view mirror! I decided to head home and of course they both fell asleep a block away from home and woke up the moment we walked in the front door.

A Special Gift From Aunt Linda and Uncle Dick!

The babies got a special gift in the mail along with adorable cards! The card to Hailey said "Guess who's in charge now?" That hit it right on the head! Thank you Aunt Linda and Uncle Dick for the gift to go towards the babies savings accounts!

4 Weeks Old Already?!

Where does the time go? It's amazing to see the changes in the babies faces, how they stay awake longer and their personalities come to life! Just look at how much they've changed already!

Sleepless in Lake Stevens

Hailey and Hunter both have been pretty picky about where they sleep at night. They both love to be on our chest and they know when we set them down because the crying will start until you pick them back up!
At night, we will each usually take a baby. It makes it so we each get a few hours of sleep (broken up) so we can function the next day.
Well, last night was one of those nights where we were both up with fussy babies. Mommy was hoping the babies would sleep the morning away so I could get a few hours of sleep, but as soon as daddy left for work, they were both up and screaming! The only thing that I knew would calm them both down was a car ride, so we were off to get me coffee and take a 6 A.M. morning drive.

Thank God for Starbucks!!

Daddy sent us a photo from work too letting us know how much he missed us and that he didn't want to be in the office (energy drink in background)!

Thankfully there was hope! Grandpa was able to come over and help me with the babies! It was a relief to have an extra set of hands and sleeping babies!

Hunter was very comfy on Grandpa!
