The meetings were across 3 hotels and had events starting at 6:30am until (some nights) about 10pm. And with a 3 hour difference, it made it really hard to have any down time and to get to talk to my family!
The rooms were not too bad..
The first day was exciting.. they had 2 guest speakers. One was from a university in PA and the other was Collin Powell! He gave an awesome speech to a room of over 3,000 people!
After the large gathering, we broke off into zones. Since I cover the entire US, they just decided to assign me to South Zone. I was bummed because I knew Chris was going to be presenting in the West Zone, but I got lucky and ran into him!
And I had spies who took photos of his speech for me. :)
Mommy was really happy to finally meet my fellow Project Managers that I've worked with for about 6 years! Some really did not look the way I thought they would.
We got to participate in a Philips Cares program where you can help those who are less fortunate. I was assigned to the group who made soup! Lucky me, I ran into a bunch of others I knew and work with on a daily basis!
After a long day, we broke out into Zone dinners and I got to enjoy a really yummy Cuban meal with the West Zone.
On the last day mommy did a presentation for the Project Management team and then we got to celebrate at an awards ceremony. I sure was happy I ran into Lynnsey who used to be my lead in Order Management and is a good friend of mine!
She even won an award!! We had been laughing at the awkward photo that gets taken after you win.. so I made sure to get one for her! :)
The highlight of my day everyday was talking to the babies and my husband on FaceTime! I'm so happy this was invented!!
