And guess who won the kids stuffed monkeys?! Yep... These kids are lucky their dad has such good aim with everything! 2 shots, 2 monkeys. It's honestly very impressive. Needless to say, the monkeys came along with us on a few rides. :)

WA State Fair
We had a blast at the WA State Fair! The drive was pretty long which is why we didn't want to go with the kids. We knew by the time we'd get there that they'd be cranky or ready for a nap. So us 'big kids' decided to go for our date night and it was so worth it. Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa for watching our little ones while we rode a bunch of rides and ate yummy fair food!
Knee Update
Daddy got an MRI on his knee and it looks like he's going to need surgery. There looks to be a tear on the meniscus (they said they aren't sure how bad due to his prior surgery on the same knee) and a cyst behind his ACL. His surgery is scheduled for next Monday and mommy plans on being home to take care of him! Definitely not good news, but at least now we know what is wrong. He's been in so much pain and barely able to sleep at night. Looking forward to having him back to normal!
The white area on the right side is the cyst:
Poor Little Guy
Hunter has been battling a nasty bug all week! He has had a high temp, low energy and all he wants is mommy! Thankfully we have him on antibiotics and we are getting closer to a normal little guy. It's been a long week of rocking him to sleep, holding him for what feels like all day and feeling bad that there isn't anything we can do but wait for the medicine to kick in! At least I'm getting really good snuggles !!
We headed to the doctor's office 2x last week. The first time we went to the walk in waited in the waiting room first for a good 45mins and then in the actual doctors office for over an hour while the doctor was in the next room with another patient the entire time! Mommy was not happy and ended up scheduling an appointment for the next day.
Because of all the attention that I've been giving Hunter, Hailey has felt left out! So, of course she has been a pain this week and really testing her boundaries. So, mommy spent some quality time with her and we painted finger nails and toes! She was so excited and kept saying 'PRETTY'!

Sammi + James Wedding
I didn't waste a minute as soon as I got to the venue I started to help set up. Every table, chair and even a few walls were covered by fabric. I found a nice way to tie the chair sashes which resulted in me finishing up the remainder of the room with the help of one of the bridesmaids.
It ended up looking gorgeous!
It ended up looking gorgeous!
After the room was (mostly) set up I headed to help get Sammi ready.. and myself. The girls all piled into the bathroom to do their makeup while we all took turns getting our hair done.
The bride's room had a nice light up mirror, but it made it SO HOT in the room we all avoided it.
In between getting ready I was running back and forth trying to figure out where name tags for the assigned seating went (we ended up missing 20 tags that had to be re-printed), I argued with the cake lady about her requirement to deliver the cake, helped to get sheet cake delivered (the cake lady only delivered the 3-tier cake- not enough for everyone...), we were missing a bouquet of flowers and to help make decisions on the runner and lights in the room. Being Maid of Honor is not all fun and games, that's for sure! But, i was determined to make it as perfect as possible for my best friend.
Finally it was time.. everyone was showing up and Sammi was ready to get into her dress. She looked gorgeous!
The ceremony had a couple bumps here and there (like a forgotten wedding certificate!) but all in all it was a gorgeous ceremony. Immediately following, we all headed to get our photos taken. I of course was running around trying to find her parents so one of them could drive home to get the certificate before the pastor left.
Well, it decided to DUMP rain on her wedding day, so all the photos were taken inside.
The bridal party
The guys
The girls (can't hardly see us but excited to see the professional photos!)
Then it was finally time to head upstairs to visit with everyone!
Michael sat at the table with James' other buddies who went to the bachelor party so he was having a great time.
Mommy said her MOH speech and then it was finally time for me to take off the 8 inch heels she had us wear! Whoo hoo free feet!
Flower and garter toss time! Sammi's brother Wyatt caught the garter and his girlfriend caught the bouquet!!
What a pretty wedding for an amazing couple! I for one am glad that they had a great time despite the little hiccups!
Congratulations Sammi + James!
Hunter & Hailey's First Soccer Game!
We signed the kids up for 'Mommy/Daddy and Me Soccer' and we had a blast! It might have been dumping rain but the kids really enjoyed it and so did we! So glad it's early in the morning with these two waking up at 6am on the weekends.. gives us something to do before everything else opens!
And it worked out well with me having to head to Sammi's wedding right after!

Both kids did a great job following the lesson. They learned 'NO HANDS, ONLY FEET' and also had a task to sort out colored shirts on the corresponding color flag! These kiddos know their colors!
Sammi + James Engagement Party
I took all of Friday off to be available for the bride and groom!
All of us girls ended up headed out to get our toes and nails done for the wedding and out for a quick brunch. Sammi had us match our nails to our shoes and our toes to our dress... whatever she wanted, it's HER day!!
Michael and I were the first to arrive at the venue (which isn't any surprise with this group!). We walked around and checked out the pretty view!
We finished up and headed to Lombardi's for dinner! Sammi's mother-in-law did a nice job decorating and making it a special night for the two of them!

After brunch I ran home to get the kids home, get Michael and to get ready for the rehearsal.

Finally everyone got to the venue and we rushed through both the route we'd take inside and outside in case of rain!

The best man sure enjoyed his 3 deserts!
Before the sun went down we all headed outside to get a few photos!
The Bride and Groom
Of course I had to jump in!
Sammi and her brother Wyatt
Wyatt, Vanessa (bridesmaid and Wyatt's girlfriend), Sammi & James
Bride and Groom with James' mom
Bride and Groom with Bridesmaid Lianne
Bride and Groom with Bridesmaid Brittney (Sammi's cousin)
And of course I had to take a picture of everyone else taking photos. We have a photo like this from our wedding too and it cracks me up!
We had a nice night and were surrounded by a good group of people. I did decide not to stay the night at the hotel so we headed home after dinner!
