Spaghetti Time!
Hunter has been in our faces when we eat since he was about 6 months old, so I decided it was time for both of them to feed themselves some actual food. Hunter LOVED his spaghetti. He literally couldn't get it in his mouth fast enough and ate 3 bowls! Hailey was a bit hesitant at first. She seemed like she didn't want to get dirty and would've rather used the spoon (which she tried but it didn't work and she got frustrated). So mommy put the food on her tray instead. She proceeded to pick up noodle by noodle to put each back into the bowl. After I fed her a bite she realized that she was supposed to eat it and ended up getting a little messy... just not as messy as her brother!
Hunter loves it!!
Hailey isn't too sure...
Time for a bath!!

BOOM BOOMS!
We are READY for the 4th!! We headed up to BOOM CITY Sunday night to get everything we needed for Michael's favorite holiday! I did most of the bidding while Michael told me what he wanted. Lots of BIG cakes and fountains for the big show!
Summer Time
We are loving the nice weather outside and have been enjoying our backyard! We have everything coming together except for the BROKEN piece of tile (tabletop) that came with our patio set. We have spent the last 2 weeks trying to get a new piece and finally they have shipped it. Can't wait for the missing piece so we can start entertaining in the back (hopefully in time for the 4th)!
We had a 'date night in' over the weekend. Mommy BBQ'd the salmon that daddy caught and we played board games outside while we watched the babies sleep on their monitors. It was nice to have a break from the craziness to enjoy!

Daddy's Little Helper
We had baby proofed the house (mostly) a few months ago, but now that we have two little crawlers, we got down on our hands and knees to find anything that needed a little extra attention. While Michael was adding in safety locks to the china cabinet, Hunter decided he wanted to help... by shutting the door every time that Michael opened it! I couldn't stop laughing...

A Cabin in the Woods..
Ever since I was a little girl I remember my dad saying he wanted a cabin in the woods. Well, that day has come. Over the weekend we helped him move a few items up to his new home. The babies had fun playing on papa's bed while Michael loaded up the truck.
After a 2.5 hr drive, we finally made it! The drive up was beautiful and his place is right by the river. The kids were so busy exploring every inch while the rest of us tried to stay cool in the 90+ degrees!
Mommy even put Uncle Dave on baby watch while I checked out where we are going to pitch a tent outside after he's settled.
We can't wait to spend fun summer nights up here around the campfire!
Fishing Trip for Daddy
Michael was able to use his Birthday present from the babies and I to go out on a fishing charter with his dad. They had a blast and brought home a TON of salmon...
He seemed to have a blast while mommy and grandma stayed back and played with babies.
Hailey is Crawling! 6-22-15
Hailey is now crawling with her bro! Didn't take her long to figure it out once she realized he was moving and she wasn't! I had to bribe her with the yum yums again to get her to do it on-demand, but hey, whatever works!
YAY!! Dump the snacks all over and have a party baby girl... but your bro is coming too!
Father's Day
I am so absolutely lucky to have an amazing husband who is so involved with our kids and loves them more than anything! Thank you babe for being my right hand man and for standing alongside me in this journey... couldn't do it without you!
(Father of the Year Award right here)
Happy Father's Day also to my dad! You are an amazing person and I'm so grateful for all you have done to raise 2 crazy kids (obviously I mean my siblings)...and me haha!!
Summer Solstice
We started off our second day with a big breakfast while the kids decided it was a great time to scream and bang on the table. Good thing they put us in the corner. All you can do is smile...
We were lucky enough to be on the island when they had their Summer Solstice Parade. Both Hailey and Hunter were looking everywhere and loved the music and dancing.
Oh, and bribe them with yum yum's (yogurt melts)

We grabbed a yummy dinner later that night and Hailey even tasted a lemon.. her face was pretty cute! Hunter was asleep on mommy so he will be next..
Later, Hunter showed off his crawling skills while Hailey calculated how he was doing it!
(that is the face of a little boy who is up to no good)
Sleep the second night was a whole different story than the first. They both took forever to put down. They kept sitting up in their cribs and would cry and wake one another up. Then that night, Hunter was up every 45 minutes. Mommy ended up using the 2nd bed in our room to have him snuggle in.
We woke up early the next morning to catch the first ferry.. we were even first on! Another fun year in Orcas.. can't wait for next year (or can I?)
