Hailey + Hunter are 5 Months Old!

These two have really grown in the last month! I was a bit late in getting the photos, but glad I was because these two were so cute this month smiling for the camera and interacting with one another! Both babies are sitting up with assistance, but have not rolled over yet. Both are getting really close to rolling, but we've yet to see it!

Hailey

Personality: Hailey is such a girl! She crosses her legs when she is sitting down and will hold her little palms up by her chest as if to show you how sweet and innocent she is. Don't let that fool you though because the second she has a grasp on something she will NOT let go.. especially if it is your hair or any part of your face! She really enjoys starring into the eyes of the people she loves and has started to recognize family members and friends. Hailey is very much a mommy's girl and will let you know if she wants me to hold her.
Sleep: Hailey takes about 3 naps a day; one early in the morning about an hour or two after she wakes up, one in the afternoon (this is typically her longest nap) and then one around 4-5pm. Bedtime is at 6:30pm and she usually goes down easily at this time. She will then sleep until about 10:30pm and wake up hungry, eat 6 ounces and fall back to sleep until about 1am where we repeat the feeding. She will then sleep until we wake her up around 5am to get ready to go. When Hailey is placed in her crib she rolls right on her side.
Food: She is eating about 6 ounces every 3-4 hrs. She has had a few solids including rice cereal, carrots, green beans, bananas and sweet potatoes. Every time she takes a bite of a new food her face looks as if we are trying to poison her! She really only enjoys the sweet potatoes so far. She's still working on bringing food to the back of her mouth with her tongue, but has improved her technique over the last week or so.
Likes: The swing, binkies (ducky or lamby), sitting up in her bumbo, the movie Tangled (she even makes sounds as if she understands what is happening), and shopping! That's right.. she really likes walking around stores and looking at everything!
Dislikes: She really does NOT like solids (as mentioned). Tummy time is not her favorite either...

Hunter

Personality: Hunter is very much a boy! He is a lot more clunky (in a cute way) than his sister. He will hit her in the face if he is laid down too close to Hailey... I'm not sure yet if this is on purpose or not! He has a lot of stories to tell and has the cutest coo's! He is quick to let you know if something isn't quite how he likes it (I wonder who he got that from)! He has started to grab Michael and my face to bring it closer to his and will even pull you in for a kiss! Hunter is a daddy's boy and will stop to listen to Michael when he starts talking. If Michael isn't right in front of him when he's talking, Hunter searches the room for him to see where he is.
Sleep: Hunter is a good sleeper.. when he doesn't have a cold and after you get him in his crib! He stretches out almost the full width of the bed as if to claim it his own. He has been great at sleeping most of the night (prior to his current cold which he wakes himself up every few hours with his cough) and will wake up just prior to our alarm for the morning. Hunter also takes 3 naps a day with the mid-day nap being the longest. If he doesn't get a nap after 3pm he will usually go to bed earlier, but not without a fight! Mommy has to pound on his butt, sush in his ear and rock him with a binkie in his mouth before he will give it up! Sometimes this will take 30mins to an hour. After he falls asleep you have to continue to rock him for a good amount of time before he's in deep enough of sleep that you can set him in his crib without him waking up. It's quite the production at bedtime!
Food: Hunter loves anything... literally! He will eat the blanket if you let him! He is great at sitting in his high chair and opening his mouth really wide and eating whatever is on the menu! The only thing he didn't seem too fond of was the green beans and I honestly don't blame him.. they stunk! He is eating 6-8 ounces of formula on top of solids every 4 hrs or so.
Likes: He LOVES the bath! He can get in the tub and splash like its no ones business! He also loves his waterfall bouncer and toys that when you pull they vibrate. He really likes to be pulled from laying to sitting and then to standing as well! He gets so proud of himself!
Dislikes: As much as he loves the bath...he hates getting out of it! He also hates if he is in the car and it's not moving (he must get that impatience from his mommy..).
