Bath Time

The babies are having so much fun during bath time now that they have discovered their hands and feet! They are splashing around and cooing.. at least until I take them out and then it is a scream fest!! Oh well, worth it for the smiles, cute sounds and clean babies!
Hailey still has to be held up to sit straight and not fall in the water, but Hunter has it down!

Snow Day!

We got 5 inches of snow the other night so we were ready to go out and see our first snow!! The babies were pretty fussy (mostly because Hailey has gotten her brother's cold) so it was a short trip outside to see what it was about and then we took daddy's truck out for some fun... only to find out the city had already plowed. Sorry hunny...

Happy Thanksgiving!

Yep, I'm late again of course, but Happy Thanksgiving! Our families decided to celebrate together at our house! Michael's sister was in Mexico for the week so her and her family weren't able to make it. But, we celebrated with Mommy's full family and Michael's parents. I made my first turkey and Thanksgiving dinner. There weren't many leftovers so I guess it turned out alright!

Let Daddy Sleep

Michael does so much around the house to make things easier with the babies like re-filling the bottles and prepping bottle making areas for meltdowns. He empties the diaper genie every time for mommy (because he knows I hate doing things like that) and always does nice little gestures like warming up the cars for us and doing the dishes. So, I figured I'd try to repay him by taking the babies the other morning and letting him sleep in a little. The babies played in their bouncers while mommy wrapped some of their Christmas presents. A very productive (early) morning! Hailey even got in her early morning nap.

Hunter + Hailey Are 3 Months Old

When did this happen? No, seriously... I feel like it's been a blur. These babies are getting so big and we love them more and more each day. We don't have a doctor's appointment to check their growth until next month, but we do know that Hunter weighs at least a few pounds more than Hailey. They are both starting to grab at things and are SO smiley! Every time Hailey wakes up and when we pick her up from daycare she gives us huge smiles. Hunter is a bit more selective with his smiles, but when he has them, they are so big and last quite a while!
They each are eating about 4 oz of formula at each feeding. Hunter eats about every 2 hrs (even through the night) and Hailey is at about every 3hrs. Hailey is actually sleeping for 5-6hr stretches at night.. that is, if her brother doesn't wake her up when he is getting up to eat. Hunter is great about sleeping in his own cradle, but Hailey insists on being in the bed snuggling. These two are so different from one another and are showing their own personalities.
Hunter is definitely a daddy's boy. If he is crying and Michael walks in the room, he immediately stops. Hailey is more a mommy's girl, but loves her daddy a ton too!
Both Hailey and Hunter are holding up their heads and need little assistance which makes it much easier to pass them off and also to prop them up in bed or on the couch. They both love to look around and lock in on something interesting. They both love looking at our wedding photos in our room and even at themselves in a mirror.
We get a lot of people asking who is the easier baby.. that answer can change in a split second! We are loving every moment of it.

Hunter's Dr Appointment

We ended up taking Hunter into the doctors because he has had a horrible cough for about 2 weeks. While we were there, they weighed him and he weighed 12lbs 10 ounces! Holy cow.. we knew he was getting heavier, but he has more than doubled his birth weight. I guess he's trying to catch up to daddy.

Hunter and His Faces

He is so expressive! Love this kid..

Sophie

We aren't quite sure what is up with Hunter.. he has been extra fussy lately and wants to gnaw on anything he can get his hands on (that is, if he can bring it to his mouth). So, we pulled out the Sophie giraffes .. so far they seem to like them. I guess good practice for teething.

Adventures of Quack Quack

Hunter has decided he doesn't like his binki as much as little Miss Hailey. She LOVES her Quack Quack and of course it's the one we keep leaving places.. first at Auntie Alicia's and then at daycare! Good thing we live close to daycare... I noticed it was not in her carseat so had to drive back to get it before the holiday weekend! PHEW that would've been bad.
I know what you're thinking.. and yep, we have a back up, but she knows the difference! It's as if she knows her own slobber? I'm sure this is not the last of misplacing the duck.

Daddy and Hunter Sleep the Same!

Wow is all I can say... These guys are two peas in a pod!

A Visit From Our Great Aunt Cindy!

Mommy's Auntie was in town from Colorado and the babies finally got to meet her! They loved every moment of it, soaking in her voice and being so attentive to what she said. Papa got some great snuggles too!!
