This Week

This week has been pretty low key which has been nice between work, school and the kids activities.

We've still been doing our riding bikes and every time we go a little further ...the kids love it! It's impossible to get them inside in time for dinner though!

Hunter even went down a pretty good size hill! What a dare-devil!

Hunter had  his T-ball game and was NOT into it. He kept saying he wanted to go home and would lay down in the middle of the field.. hopefully next week is better...

Hailey had her make up dance class on Saturday & was a total pill.. we ended up leaving before they even switched to their ballet shoes. Mommy was pretty sad about it because Daddy came to see her dance. He has new hours now so he won't be able to join any of her classes the rest of the year.

At least she looked cute before class.

We spent the rest of the weekend catching up on laundry, house chores and playing with LEGOS!

And Daddy was nice enough to watch the kids while Mommy did some schoolwork. They built the biggest tower of LEGOS ever!! Thankfully he sent me a photo because all I heard was the huge CRASH after it fell.

School

Well, it's official.. Mommy has started school again! I'm in my second week at University of Phoenix and super excited to finish up my Bachelors Degree! I'm more than halfway there which was a sigh of relief after not remembering how far I had made it before having kids.
I took a little over 3 years off to focus on our two beautiful babies, but now that they are older it's time to get this done!
I had done a lot of research to get to this point and made the difficult decision to no longer attend WSU. Their online program didn't fit in our lifestyle and would've taken me an entire year longer than this accelerated program Univ of Phoenix offers. Instead of 2 classes at a time for 12 weeks, this program is 1 course at a time each at 5 weeks. They also do not require me to go into a Certified Proctored Exam location like WSU made me which is all the way in Edmonds! Not going to happen... The best part about this, they were able to offer me the same cost per credit that I paid for my AA, so I'm saving a ton of money as well.

So, I'm happy with my decision and know it is best not only for me but for my family!

Dance Class

Hailey started her dance class last Monday night which is a mixture of ballet and tap. She went straight into the room by herself and didn't cry once! I was so shocked.. At the beginning of class she was very reserved listening & watching everyone else participate. Towards the end of the class she had a HUGE smile and was super happy to be dancing around!

What's a picture of Hailey without a silly face? This girl..

Hailey's teacher Mrs Amy is AMAZING! She is so good with the little ones.. she is silly with them but also strict enough for them to listen! Such a great mixture for this age.
Hailey keeps saying how lucky she is to have two Mrs Amys! One at school and once at dance!

T-Ball for Hunter!

The day has finally come.. I'm pretty sure Michael has been waiting for this moment since the moment he found out Hunter was a boy! :) Hunter started T-ball the first day back from Disneyland and Michael is the coach!

Coach Dad has been doing a great job teaching the 3-5yr olds all about how to hit, where to run and the weekly sportsmanship value! Michael is super lucky to have Grandpa helping out too!

Hunter on the other hand has been having a hard time listening to directions and paying attention. He is the youngest on the team so it's going to take some time for him to understand what to do and the basic need to listen to coach!!

For Hunter's first game, his cousins and Grandma came to cheer him on!!

Disneyland Vacation / Day 7

It was our last day at Disney and we started off at a Character Breakfast at the PCH Grill (which was in one of the Disney hotels). We actually enjoyed this breakfast more than Ariel's Grotto because it was way more low key and had a HUGE breakfast buffet with anything & everything you could think of! Plus, there weren't any booths which made it easier for interaction with the characters!

OH my gosh my two little weirdos

We had a nice table visit by a few characters.. Hunter LOVED Daisy Duck (despite his shy picture) but him and Stitch weren't the best of friends.. haha

Stitch ran up behind him earlier in the morning and scared him.. then he showed up behind us and Hunter didn't notice until right in this second.. HAHA

And since this trip was to celebrate their birthday from mommy and daddy, we had the wait staff sing to the kids!

With full bellies, we headed off to the park!

Our first stop- Tinkerbell. We had been meaning to go all week and we finally made it to Pixie Hollow!

We loved all the hidden ferries

Finally it was our turn! And wouldn't you know.. Hunter got shy after he told me he wanted to give her a big hug! Oh man.. well next trip they'll probably get the idea and be more warmed up!

Surprisingly, that took a good chunk of the morning and the kids both fell asleep! So Michael, Auntie Donna and I went to Space Mountain for the first time that trip.
They re-did it as Ghost Space Mountain and it was spooky!

In fact, the whole park was done in Halloween decorations on the last day including several of the rides being re-done. We went to the Haunted Mansion and they re-did it in a 'Night Before Christmas' Theme like the movie.

After, we headed back over to CA Adventure to ride a few more rides... but a snack first!!

This is what eating a snack half awake looks like.. he gets it from his dad. :)

Over at CA Adventure we checked out a few small rides, but ultimately ended up heading out after Hailey pushed Hunter off the cement wall right after the photos below. Thankfully he was smart and lifted his head so he didn't get too hurt, but BOY was Hailey in trouble!

We were SUPER spoiled because Grandma and Auntie Donna offered to watch the kids so we could go see the fireworks and have some adult time! We definitely needed it after the week. It was a ton of fun, but like the pushing incident, it definitely had it's rough moments!

We grabbed some dinner, headed to the park and rode Space Mountain and then California Screaming (3x!!)

Then it was time for fireworks! Later we heard that the kids were up for these and could see them from Auntie  Donna's room!!

Turned out to be a wonderful vacation! I'm so glad we did this at their age because they will remember it and the magic in their eyes was amazing! We were all exhausted when we got home, but we had a wonderful time!!
