'Big Kids' & 'New Friends'

The kids have transitioned to the next step at daycare!! That means they are now the youngest ones in the class, but have done AMAZING with the transition! Apparently Hunter has been more talkative than Hailey has, but she's also done really well. They've been going over to the older class for 2 weeks and continue to do awesome artwork and come home singing new songs they've learned.
Both Hunter and Hailey can count 1-10 in English and Spanish and they know almost all of their ABC's (but you have to sing it with them)... although, L M N O P is still a little hard.

Both kids are making "new friends" and are excited every day to go back and see them! They now are "big kids"!!

M is for Mouse Art

In addition to moving over to the big kid area, they now have to start potty training!! So every evening we put on real underwear and take them to the bathroom every 20mins to get them to use the big potty! Daycare will also bring them to the bathroom throughout the day and they now are transitioned to pull ups!!

Hunter gets a bit concerned on the big potty and will ask for a diaper. We are trying not to push too hard and will take him off if he starts to cry. All about repetition!!

Mommy has to laugh that with all the little potties around the house, they prefer the actual toilet! So what do they use their smaller potties for?? To stand on and sing the Moana soundtrack! HAHA

One Stressful / Long Week!

This week we've been battling colds and the flu along with more breathing problems for Mr. Hunter. Taking it day by day but sure has been a long week and stressful with all the coordination between mommy's and daddy's meetings. The kids stayed home 2 full days and had to be picked up early another day. Being a parent is sure difficult, but thankfully its extra time I get to spend with them before I'm out of town next week!! I'll take the snuggles... and the giggles! :)

Kitchen Helper

Mommy tries to prep our food each week so we eat healthy and don't go out as often. This week, I had a kitchen helper!!
We made homemade chocolate protein bars, salsa chicken and chicken tortilla casserole !! Yummy!

Gymagine Morning

We had all sorts of fun at Gymagine this weekend! We hadn't been for a while so it was cool to see how much more the kids can do now.

We Sure Love Our Doggies!!

Every day Hunter will give both dogs a kiss goodbye before heading out for daycare.. and when they get home, both kids LOVE to lay in the dog bed with Paco! Makes it worth all the extra work with the dogs.. :)

Congrats to Daddy!!

Mommy's been waiting almost a month for the company to send out the 'People on the Move' where it showcases new employees and career progression. It finally came out and I couldn't be more proud of my husband!! I'm so excited that we work together again and it's nice that people are copying me on all the nice "welcome back" messages that they are sending him! Always nice to feel like you were missed and he sure was!

Mommy's Work Trip

This week I had to go participate in a Kaizen Event in Arizona. The kids were so good for Daddy and loved spending time with Grandma and Grandpa! It was a hard week away from them and another one coming up in a week.

At least the plane flight was short and we flew right over the Grand Canyon!

This is the process for the upgrades that I'm a part of. We were able to reduce it quite a bit (the top was where we started, and the bottom green is the improved process). Still a lot of work to get all the tasks assigned completed.

Although it was hard being away from the kids, it was great exposure for me to present in front of Senior Directors and VP's!

While I was gone, I got some sweet little photos to get me through the week

I was surprised with a sweet note once I came home :)

Random Photos

Mommy loves the new 'washed out' filters they put in SnapChat.. the kids and I had fun playing with them and they came out really cute.

Cousin Time!

We were so excited to have Auntie Dani over with all of the kids! We hadn't seen them for a while since our work schedules are opposite so it was nice to spend a low key day hanging out and watching football!

The boys and Penny had fun making their own pizzas

Pretty bummed the Seahawks lost, but we had a fun day with family!

Umm, These Are Mine.

MINE seems to be our new favorite word.. and the kids use it for literally everything. Hailey will even tell Hunter that the color pink is hers. Not sure how a color is owned, but if it was it'd be hers!

And when it comes to chips and beans..there is certainly no exception.

We Have a Little Helper

Hunter has figured out how to do the laundry! He will open the washer, move the clothes to the dryer and turns it on! Whoo hoo- a little help is nice especially when we do about 4-6 loads a week!

He'll also help get his art supplies out of the cabinet (with supervision of course)

He sure wants to do his own thing!

Happy New Year!

We got a special visit from Grandma and Grandpa on NYE! We got to watch a movie, had root beer floats and did an early countdown for the kids before a confetti shower and bedtime. What a fun way to bring in the new year!

Ok, that's enough...

Hunter was such a good helper trying to sweep up all the glitter!
