Date Night

We are so thankful to be able to have date nights once a week thanks to grandparents! This week we kept it low key after paying last week for being out too late. These kids wake up at 5 am no matter what.. They do not care if we're out until midnight!! So we stayed close and had a nice dinner and walked on the docks in Lake Stevens. It's nice to have a few hours with one another to have a quiet meal and relaxing walk by the water.

Mommy's New Car!

In between a sick little guy and Hailey's tantrums, we had some major car problems! Our Honda, mommy's car, started having issues with the gas pedal. While we were headed to a family outing the gas stopped working! We took the car in to try and get it fixed but they couldn't figure out why it happened and ended up fixing something else! We decided to go and look at a car later in the week and on the way, the car did it again! It was nothing to mess around with so we went ahead with getting the new car.
The new suv has so much more space and is way safer! Michael always does his research and found the car I said I liked completely loaded with double moon roofs, massage front seats and 3rd row seating that automatically goes down for more storage when needed! There isn't one feature the car doesn't have that I would want! We were sad to see the Honda have issues because of the cost of a new car, but when it comes to safety especially with kids in the car, it's worth every penny!

Hailey's Meltdowns

Wow do we have one stubborn little girl!! She not only knows how to play the cute card to get out of trouble, but she can also reach a pitch with her voice that can be heard by dogs miles away when something doesn't go her way!! As we get closer to the 'terrible twos' we find our patience being tested like never before. So, when Hailey decides to take her diaper off every time I change it and then freak out when I go to put one on her, I have to just laugh and take a photo of this time in our journey.

Honestly the second picture totally gets me and I picked her up the second after I took it but she wanted NOTHING to do with me. In fact when I tried to pick her up (before and after the photo) she scratched my face and hit me! Yes, that sweet little angel. She not only hurts mommy but also tries to fling herself backwards and out of my arms. Needless to say, she got corner time for this little stunt and was not happy about it.

Sick Hunter

He definitely gets hit hard when he gets sick! Hunter had to be picked up early on Tuesday  with a high fever, so Michael headed to get him. Mommy was able to get home a little early as well to check on how he was doing and give daddy some relief.

I was able to get him to drink a smoothie to at least get something in him.
The next morning he was burning up and in no shape to go to daycare so mommy stayed home to work and grandpa came out to help. Hunter was being such a mommy's boy so during a few of my conference calls, grandpa distracted him with his favorite thing... Outside!!

When Hunter woke up Thursday he still had a high fever so I decided to stay home with him and Hailey.

Once daddy got home I was able to get a few moments to run to the store with Hailey while the boys stayed home and watched frozen!

Friday we woke Hunter up and he seemed slightly better so we decided to take him to daycare and see how it went. Well he made it to 11am before Michael left to go and get him again. This time we decided it was time to go to the doctors! Michael waited at the walk in for two hours with one fussy little guy.

Thankfully no ear infections but they did test him for strep. So happy it didn't end up being positive! However, Saturday was another repeat.. Still a fever!! Finally Sunday morning came around and he broke it! He still was super clingy to mommy like he has been all week (to the point that his toes touch the ground and he screams at the top of his lungs!). I even had to drive home from a long drive on Sunday holding his leg in the backseat while driving! Michael was so amazing trying to do everything he could but Hunter was set on only mom! So happy he's on the mend!!

Mother's Day

What a wonderful Mother's Day! The kids were in a great mood and we had a low key day! Michael surprised me a few days prior with a full spa day that I'm so excited to use later this month! I can't wait to get pampered with a massage, body wrap, facial and a pedicure!!

The kids even made me a sweet gift that made mommy cry when I picked them up from daycare! It's amazing how fast time goes so having a memory of how small and sweet their hands are with their cute gift was exactly what I was hoping for!

After a relaxing day, we played outside and enjoyed the nice weather!

Family Movie Night

We had a fun family movie night in the living room and the kids went nuts on the blow up mattress! Even though they were running around, we enjoyed having some at home family time!!

Fun with Our Friends

Once daddy was back from his business trip, we headed out for a fun date night with mommy's best friend Sammi, her fiancé and daddy's friend James and mommy's friend from work, Katie, to have a fun night singing Karaoke!! It was a blast getting up and singing with the girls while they guys visited and watched us!

Daddy on a Business Trip

We definitely missed daddy while he was on his business trip! We were thankful to have grandma over to lend an extra hand and really just keep mommy company! It kept daddy worry free too..

We did a lot of playing outside and baths... and let's just say we are so glad he is home now!!

Grandma even brought over cars for the kids (literally Hunter doesn't want to get out of his!!)

We played a little T-Ball

And ate some yummy Mexican food from our favorite place in Lake Stevens! Hunter got beans all over himself and mommy and grandma had a good laugh!!

Definitely time for baths!!

And we even tried on daddy's shoes!
