Hunter Walking with the Toys!

Hunter has followed in his 'big' sister's footsteps and has been practicing walking! For a while there he was really not interested because he can crawl so fast. I'm glad that he is now showing way more interest in figuring it out! He usually ends up with his sisters toy car to walk since she always has his toy jeep (she likes the song it plays).

Good Job baby boy!! Keep it up!!

Burritos !

We decided to venture out to grab some dinner with the babes and ended up at our favorite Mexican restaurant, Nachos! They already know us there and had 2 high chairs set up while we were still walking in! The babies got burrito rolls that mommy made for them as Michael and I scarfed down our food! Hunter decided it was the perfect time to scream  and make everyone there look at us! Oh little boy.. you are so sweet but SO LOUD! Hailey was a sweetheart and ate her roll...

Attack of the Hunter!

Ahhhh Runnnn! Hunter might seem like he is going to snuggle up to you, but then he will bite you with his 8 CHOMPERS! Daddy was his latest victim... right in the arm!

The Jump Jump Is Here!!

We blew up the jump jump that we got the kids for their birthday present and they had a blast!! I got on with them and let them crawl around to check it out. When it's up for their birthday party they won't be in it (too many big kids!) so we wanted to be sure they got to play with it first.

Hunter was hesitant at first, but enjoyed bouncing with mommy.

Hailey loved it from the moment she got on. She liked falling on it to bounce and even went down the slide like a big girl by herself! Daddy was at the end to catch her as she giggled all the way down...

All in all, it was a success! They are going to love this when they get bigger and just made more sense to buy rather than rent for almost the same price (and only for a few hours)!

Date Day!!

With all of this running around for the birthday and a ton going on at work, we paused for a fun date day! First, we headed down to a beer festival to meet a few friends in Everett where they had local beers that you can taste along with live music and food trucks!

After a bit we headed to go see my dad for his birthday. Every year his buddy does a big party where they play music and make a ton of food.. this year it landed on his b-day! We stopped by for a little bit and then headed back home to the babies and to relax!

Haley + Hunter Are 11 Months Old

Yep, 6 days before their first b-day I'm able to get their 11 month post up. It's been crazy to say the least for us between working full time and taking care of these two who are on the MOVE! They both are great at standing up on their own, pointing to what they want and have been showing that they understand what we say to them.

Hailey has been very good about practicing her walking. She will walk up and down the living room and kitchen behind her walker and push things out of the way including her brother!
She has figured out how to throw a tantrum too! Lucky us... she realizes now that she doesn't want to share her toys. If she sees Hunter playing with something she will grab it from him and when it does it back to her, she cries, turns red, points at him and has BIG crocodile tears stream down her face.
Hailey has been very particular about what she eats and doesn't like it when she doesn't get her way. All she wants is yum-yums and she will get upset with the dinner she has to eat first before her dessert!
She has been very cute  though with Hunter. They will chase one another and she LOVES it! She will turn around to see if he is following her and if he is, she just giggles while trying to get away.
She adores the dogs and cats- she has a particular laugh when she is petting them or trying to play with them. She's even understanding she has to be gentle while touching them.

Hunter is still a busy little guy! He of course is all over the place all the time. In the mornings he will come into the bathroom and open all the drawers and even has made both mommy and daddy trip on them! OUCH! He will crawl right into walls, beds, doors.. anything that he can find! He's had bruises on his head for the last few weeks and once one is gone, he creates a new one!
Although he likes to always be moving, he is so sweet when he stops to 'read' his books. He likes to flip pages and look at the pictures.
Hunter still eats mostly anything he can get his hands on. He must enjoy using his 8 teeth!
He is such a little snuggler too! He will rush up on Hailey and hug her or  put his hand on her. He also loves to snuggle right before bed and is so sweet when he lays his little head on your shoulder!

Make Yourself Comfortable

He sits like this everywhere... always lounging & putting his leg up on something!

Daddy's Girl

Lately Hailey has been such a Daddy's girl! She will look at him and want him to pick her up and has started to whine for him! She will reach her arm out if I'm holding her and point at Michael as if to tell me to hand her to her Daddy!

She also has been testing her boundaries. She clearly knows what we are talking about. Just the other day I asked her if she wanted orange slices and she shook her head no... i proceeded to ask if she wanted chicken to which she also shook her head no. Once I asked if she wanted Yum-Yums, she made a high pitch sound to say YES !! The next day she was sitting in the kitchen banging her head against the cabinet. Both Michael and I told her NO! And she just looked at both of us and did it again. This went on for several minutes until something more interesting caught her eye... she knew exactly what we were saying though.

Meanwhile, Hunter has not been wanting to be set down. He has been crying and screaming lately if we put him down next to toys to go wash bottles or let the dogs outside. It is pretty funny though when he is 'crying' and one of us start blowing raspberries on his tummy and he starts to laugh. Little Stinker!

We Are Getting SO Big!

Honestly we are both in disbelief that these two are about to turn one. They are each becoming little kids and having preferences for how they like things. Hunter is VERY vocal and likes to scream (usually during the worst times possible) and Hailey is little miss independent! She can do it herself! Goodness we are in trouble! They do say you get the kids you deserve and Hunter is just like Michael and Hailey is so much like me... we've both become much more patient people and it doesn't take more than one look now (from either of us to one another) to know when the other person needs a moment. As cute as these two are in photos and blog posts, they can be handfuls so don't be fooled!! Wouldn't have it any other way though :)

Seattle Aquarium

These kiddos love the fish at the Aquarium! We spend Sunday morning and early afternoon checking out all the colorful fish and Grandma & Grandpa joined! They treated us to a membership for the babies which is AWESOME and we are very grateful! This will be the perfect activity for us on the weekends once the weather starts to turn into rain here.

Hunter and Hailey both LOVED the seals and otters so we stayed there for a while to watch them. Hunter would scream and clap every time they came and swam by us! Hailey had a HUGE smile on her face.
